*Please Note for 16 Mile Runners* This is a mountainous trail run consisting of 99% single track trails. Your "road times" do not correlate to trail running. Therefore, in the best interest of all runners, their families, volunteers and the race committee, there is a 4.5 hour time limit to complete the 16 mile course. What this means: if you have not completed your first lap (8 miles) within 2.5 hours, we will kindly ask that you do not start your second and final lap.

Starting with the 2018 SHSC, we will alternate course direction each year. What this means: because all previous years were ran in a counter clockwise direction, the 2018 race reverses direction and will run clockwise, 2019 will go back to counter clockwise, etc..
To make it easier, EVEN numbered year = CLOCKWISE ODD numbered year = COUNTER CLOCKWISE |
